About Work Experience

Dipankar Jakharia is the co-founder of DIPABH.COM. Educated in Guwahati and Kolkata, he started his career in 2000 in ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Kolkatta. Soon he returned to Guwahati, his hometown and joined ICICI Lombard. In 2006 he started as an Independent Financial Adviser certified by AMFI. In 2011 he founded EconPenny renamed as DIPABH in 2017, North-East India’s first full service financial planning firm. In January, 2012 he joined media house The Sentinel as a columnist. Through his Sunday column “Money Matters” he preached sound financial habits, and was appreciated widely. In March 2013, he joined Assam Tribune as a columnist for Sunday Reading. His Column “Money Smart” is now published in several dailies in different states of North-East. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Guwahati and enjoys his occasional trips to hill states immensely.
